George Shreyer (1979)

My second Shreyer rifle - again with interchangeable barrels, .50 calibre rifled, and .55 calibre smoothbore. I didn't know it then, but George Shreyer was a Mason.

The Boy's Rifle (1979)

My elder son Rob, being about eleven years old, needed a rifle, so I made him a .40 calibre scaled-down version of an early Jacob Dickert rifle. At Friendship, we started the kiddie's match on the Primitive range, which became quite popular.

The follow photographs come to us courtesy of the rifle's current owner, the Provincial Museum of Alberta (Maurice F. V. Doll).
